
Dr. Adeola Shobo is an educator, researcher, nonprofit leader, and community advocate with over 20 years of experience spanning academia, scientific research, and community development. He currently serves as a Professor in the Department of Applied Science and Environmental Technology at Algonquin College, Ottawa.
He holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, and has conducted research at McGill University. Dr. Shobo is the Founder and Executive Director of AfroCulture Initiative and Co-founder of NonProfit Connect, initiatives dedicated to cultural preservation, community engagement, and strengthening Black nonprofit leadership.
As Board Chair of Emerging Lives Initiative, he is committed to fostering inclusive communities, empowering individuals, and creating opportunities that enable people to reach their full potential. His leadership is grounded in integrity, collaboration, and service.
