Emerging Lives Initiative (ELI) is a registered Canadian charity based in Ottawa, Ontario. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us.

We may collect your name, email address, telephone number, program interests, referral enquiries, and other information you voluntarily provide through our website, social media forms, events,2 and programs.
2- How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
● Respond to enquiries and referral requests.
● Assess initial eligibility for programs, including BYRCRP Bridge Home.
● Communicate with applicants, referral partners, and community members.
● Coordinate services and program participation.
● Maintain administrative records and prepare aggregated program reports for funders.
Submitting an enquiry does not guarantee admission to any ELI program.
3- Confidentiality and Information Sharing
We limit access to personal information to authorized personnel who require it for legitimate organizational purposes.
We do not sell personal information. We share identifiable information with external organizations only where authorized by the individual or otherwise permitted or required by law
4- Sensitive Information
Bridge Home applicants may have sensitive personal circumstances. Our public enquiry forms are intended for initial contact only.
Please do not submit medical records, criminal justice documents, release conditions, or other confidential case information through social media forms. Where additional information is necessary, ELI will arrange an appropriate, more secure assessment process.
5- Information Security and Retention
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to safeguard personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, subject to applicable legal, contractual, and funding requirements.
6- Third-Party Platforms
When you submit information through Facebook, Instagram, or another third-party service, that platform may also process your information according to its own privacy policy.
7- Your Privacy Choices
You may contact ELI to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable legal and recordkeeping requirements. You may also withdraw consent where applicable.
